I haven’t posted here in a while due to being in Australia. I’ll be here for about 3 1/2 more weeks. I can’t believe my trip has almost come to an end. It’s been so wonderful being able to be here. During the first few weeks, Jordan and I had a planned trip to head up to Queensland to go to Dreamworld and Movieworld, two amazing theme parks. We had left on January 8th early in the morning to catch our 8 a.m. flight. We landed in Queensland 2 hours later, and then we headed straight for Dreamworld where we spent most of the day.
After having a fun day at Dreamworld, we headed to our hotel and took our showers so we could head out to grab something for dinner. Before I had a chance to put my make up on, Jordan walks over to me and starts slow dancing with me and talking to me all sweetly and then he gets down on one knee and proposes to me! It was so unexpected and so perfect. I, of course said yes! I love him so much, and he always know how to surprise me.
The following day, we went to Movieworld where we had such an amazing time since we didn’t have to carry our bag full of our clothes with us this time, and we were also well rested. We went on the best rides at least four or five times, it was awesome.
A couple days after, we headed off to the Australia Zoo, which I thought was amazing! I love going to the zoo, especially this time because I got to see a lot of animals I haven’t seen in real life before such as Kangaroos, kookaburras, and so on. I think the best part about the zoo was actually being able to see the Irwin family feed the crocs, that was pretty awesome haha.

While I have been here, I’ve also had the chance to try some awesome Australian treats such as meat pies (yuuummo!), Promite, Weis mango & Ice cream bars, maxibon (omg so good!), Tim Tams, Pavlova, Lemingtons. and wagon wheels. Pretty good stuff, I’m really going to miss it when I have to go back to the states! I haven’t tried vegemite just yet…still pretty afraid to taste it! There is a couple other things I got to try for the first time while living with Jordan, I have tried curry–which I found out I am allergic to, and then also a veggie called Bitter gourd..yeah, the taste wasn’t any better than what it’s named..it was just gross to be honest.
We went to this event in Melbourne last Saturday called White Night which was pretty fun–until the other 499,998 other people showed up. The streets were packed, it was ridiculous! The train station was just as bad, if not worse. The crowed was pushing us forward, while others were trying to push through the opposite way. I think going to White Night once was enough to last me a life time :p. I did enjoy taking a break and just listening to Jordan play the piano in the building we decided to sit down in. It was very nice inside of that art building as well. We had ended up getting there pretty early, so luckily we got to enjoy quite a it before the crowd came, Jordan got to try out the Oculus VR goggle/headpiece thing. Seemed pretty fun :3.
Near the end of January, we took a trip to Sydney for Australia day to meet Jordan’s grandparents. They are all very sweet and I am so glad I got a chance to see both side of his grandparents. We are going back to Sydney for Jordan’s birthday that is coming up next week, so we will get to visit Sylvia and Kevin once more before I go back to America–as well as meet some of his friends from the university he attended. I am hoping we’ll be able to spend some time at the beach while we’re there also!
Gotta go for now, cheers :)!
